This spring, Lab Culture will be attending the regional Society of Independent Brewer [SIBA] Awards.
Taking place at Ludlow Castle on Friday 10th May 2019, the competition for Wales and the West of England will see industry experts judge the very best beer from independent brewers across the region.
Keen to showcase its entire range, Lab Culture has submitted the Alefred Nobel – Session Rye IPA 3.6% in keg, three core beers in cans ( Alefred Nobel, Gregor Mendale and Galilale Galilei) and several bottled drinks including Lime and Basil Saison, Chocolate Milk Stout, Triple Hopped Belgium Blond and Sourish Citra Wheat for judging, with team members hopeful for a positive result.
Mike Capewell, Founder of Lab Culture, said: “We are really excited to be attending the SIBA Independent Beer Awards alongside some of the best up and coming brewers within the UK.”
“It is a true mark of the success that Lab Culture has achieved in such a short space of time, the team and I are really excited to have been able to submit a wide selection of our beers for the awards.”
Lab Culture’s American style craft beers are produced using a sustainable food production method in which the brewing process takes advantage of the wasted heat from LED lights from a vertical farm that produces high-quality year-round salads, herbs and plants.
Mike continued: “The way we create our beers makes them distinctively unique and means we have something fresh and exciting to showcase to Judges at the awards in Ludlow”.
“All our beers are big on fruit and hops and designed to extract maximum value from their wasted resources.”
An annual competition, the SIBA Independent Beer Awards are run across SIBA’s 8 geographical regions, with the champions from each region moving forwards to the National competition at BeerX.
